LLOYD JOB FEST

The 4th Annual Job Fest of Lloyd Group of Institutions, “Niyukti-2019” was organized on 7th April, 2019 for the students of Pharmacy and Management students, in collaboration with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, (Delhi Branch). The institute invited companies from different sectors like production, quality assurance, quality control, sales & marketing, business development, baking and finance, human resources, R&D, regulatory affairs etc. to interview and offer jobs to students.

More than 1700 students of B. Pharm., from 230 Institutes/ Universities registered to appear in interviews with 50 companies in this Job Fest. They came from Institutes all over India, including some leading names like Delhi University (DIPSAR), Jamia Hamdard, AIIMS, Amity University, BHU Institute of Medical Sciences, Banasthali Vidyapeeth, BITS, Chitkara University, DPSRU, Guru Jambeshwar University (Hisar), DIT (Dehradun), Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University Sagar, GLA University, Galgotia’s University, GD Goenka University, Jaipur National University, JSS College of Pharmacy, K R Mangalam University, KIET (Muradnagar), Kurukshetra University, MIET (Meerut), NIPER, RKGIT (Ghaziabad), Sharda University, Subharti University and Teerthankar Mahaveer University.

The events ended on an unbiased, healthy note. Mr. Anand Kumar Singh, Social Welfare Officer of G.B.U., Chief-Guest of the Valedictory function, welcomed the gathering and encourage the students to participate in various competition conducted by other institutions. The winners of each events were announced while the medals and certificate were distributed. Concluding around 5:00 p.m. with a quick photo session, the event came to an end with an overwhelming response by the students which indubitably signified their appreciation of the fact that they received a platform to showcase their talent.

The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. S. Eswara Reddy, Drug Controller General (India), who lauded the efforts of the Institute by saying that “Lloyd has created history by doing what no other institute has done till now and is doing a wonderful social cause by connecting the recruiters with the right candidates under one-roof as a philanthropic exercise organized completely by the Institute’s own resources without any financial assistance from any other source” and also appreciated 50 companies coming to the Lloyd Campus, “as the youth of the nation is in dire need of good jobs”.

In the past more than 1200 students from many institutes, including some of the most famous Govt. and private institutes of India, have found their first jobs on the Lloyd Campus. This Job Fest has acquired a cult status amongst students as they can simply register free of cost and find a good job. This time students from Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan etc. and even faraway places from the central and south-west regions of India like like Cuttack, Bhubhaneshwar, Siliguri, Bhopal, Amravati, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Sangli, Dhule, Chikmanglur, Nashik and as far south as Tirupati came to Lloyd Job-Fest.

The other eminent dignitaries who present and honored the recruiters for their commitment to the Job Fest were, Dr. G N Singh (Secretary-cum-Scientific Director, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission), Sh. Atul Kumar Nasa (Deputy Drug Controller), Prof. R K Goyal (Vice Chancellor, DPSRU), Sh. S L Nasa (Registrar, Delhi Pharmacy Council), Prof. Roop K Khar, (Former President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association), Dr. Raman Dang (Registrar, DPSRU), Dr, Farhan Jalees (Jamia Hamdard), Shri Bhaskar Nath (Director, Vishwa Lakshmi Food & Beverages Pvt. Ltd.), Sh. Dhiraj Nanda (Director, Nutrilife), Dr. Gaurav Jain (Secretary, IPA).

Sh. Manohar Thairani, Chairman, Lloyd Group thanked all the recruiters for participating in this grand placement drive and congratulated all the students who found a job on this day. The Group Director, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi reiterated the Institute’s commitment to the Job Fest and promised that next year an even bigger event with increased number of companies and students.
