ABOUT DPSRU:

Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), is the first Pharmacy University of India and is empowered to award degrees as specified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 through its own departments and constituent colleges in regular mode. The University is recognized by UGC under section 2f. NBA has accredited D.Pharm., B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. (Pharmacology) at DIPSAR, the constituent college of the University. The courses offered at the university are approved by statutory bodies like Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (DCPOT). The focus areas of Research & Innovations are spectroscopy, chromatography and imaging technologies, medical devices and precision medicine. With a vision to integrate various disciplines and provide effective health care solutions to the world, DPSRU has been one of the few centers of learning in India that has kept pace with the developments. It has following units:

3. School of Allied Health sciences with centre of Physiotherapy

Currently the university runs D. Pharm., B. Pharm. M. Pharm. (Cosmeceutics, Drug Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmacognosy, Quality Assurance, Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacy); MBA (Pharmaceutical Management); MPH (Master of Public Health); MHM (Master of Hospital Management); B.Sc (Sports Science) with pharmacy focus and certificate courses in Yoga. From 2018-19, several new courses have been planned including post-graduate courses in sports sciences and genomic based drug delivery. The University has developed a reasonably good infrastructure in the form of classrooms, labs, library, playgrounds, guest house, faculty house, hostels etc to provide quality education to students. It has been developed as State-of-the-art, well-equipped Centre of Excellence and is producing top class pharmaceutical scientists, pharmacists, health professionals thereby significantly contributing towards the development of World and India in particular. DPSRU and DIPSAR regularly organize promotional curricular activities like National and International level conferences, Quality Improvement Programs, Workshops, Seminars, Symposia and guest lectures in addition to extracurricular activities like Annual Day, Sports Day, Physiotherapy Day, National Pharmacy Day and other festivals and occasions at community level.

ABOUT SPER:

Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (SPER) is a scientific, educational and professional non-profit organization committed to promote the highest professional and ethical standards of pharmacy and to work for the growth, development and betterment in the field of pharmacy. It is a registered Society under the M.P. Societies Act 1973, No. 44 of 1973. SPER is one of the leading pharmaceutical associations in the country and working in the interest of pharmaceutical professionals, with a member base of around 3,500, it spread across the country and have 13 state branches.

Objective

Cultivation and promotion of the study and practice of pharmaceutical sciences education & research
Promote social contacts among pharmacists across the globe.
Undertake and promote scientific and pharmaceutical research activities related to pharmaceutical education, research and skill development.
Edit and publish, research journals related to the field of pharmacy for nourishing, spreading and promoting the research scholar and academicians.
Arrange seminars, symposia, conferences, lectures, exhibitions, workshops, training programs to focus on pharmacy profession through publications.
Provide a platform to discuss various issues related for the growth and development of pharmacy profession.
Honour eminent academicians, researchers and young scientists engaged for the upliftment of pharmacy profession.
Carrying out continuous research on various employability options for the pharmaceutical students and collaborate with educational institutions as well as pharmaceutical companies.
Engage community through various training programs to enhance knowledge. Also design modules and certificate programs for the community to empower them for better employability.
