A field visit has been organized as per Diploma in Pharmacy Curriculum on 26^th April 2023. The visit was organized at Yatharth Hospital, Greater Noida. The visit comprises final year students of Diploma in Pharmacy.

Objectives- The visit has been organized with the aim of-

• To learn and understand the process of purchase of drugs, chemicals, and biologicals.
• To know the in-depth distribution of medications inside the hospital such as transfusion fluid, parenteral products, tablets, capsules, ointment, and stock mixtures.
• To get inside on dispensing and sterilization process for parenteral.
• Understanding the prescription with detailed and partial exposure gained by the hospital pharmacy.

The highlight of the visit was the tour of the various departments, where we got to see how a hospital operates and the different departments related to medicines and how they work.

The highlights of the visit were the tour of various departments of the hospital. Students got the opportunity to visit the GRN OFFICE (Good received note), CSSD (Central sterile supply department), MRD (Medical record department), OPD PHARMACY, and GENERAL PHARMACY where students practically experienced how the hospital staff worked efficiently and calmly to attend the patients with various medical emergencies and serve them with best medical advice. Students also interacted with hospital staff to get a deeper understanding of how a hospital pharmacy work and the important role each department play in delivering quality healthcare.
