On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, observed annually on October 10th, Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology organized a workshop to promote mental health awareness among its pharmacy students. The event took place on October 10, 2024, and was attended by a large number of students.
The workshop was led by Ms. Meenakshi Kohli, a distinguished trainer in the field of mental health. Ms. Kohli’s experience and expertise provided students with valuable insights into understanding mental health challenges, both in their personal lives and in the context of their future roles as healthcare professionals
Throughout the workshop, Ms. Kohli emphasized the importance of self-care, resilience, and compassion in managing mental health. She also highlighted the role that pharmacy professionals can play in supporting mental health awareness within their communities. Interactive activities were incorporated, allowing students to reflect on their mental well-being and discuss coping strategies.
The workshop was well-received by the attendees, who expressed appreciation for the practical guidance and supportive environment. Many students shared that the workshop not only enhanced their understanding of mental health but also encouraged them to prioritize their own mental well-being. The event concluded with a question-and-answer session, where students had the opportunity to seek personalized advice from Ms. Kohli.
