Webinar on Avenues in Quality Assurance for Pharmacy Students 2020

A special theme based webinar on "Avenues in Quality Assurance for Pharmacy Students" was conducted on Wednesday, 30th September, 2020 by Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology (Pharm.) under the leadership of Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi, Group Director, Lloyd Group of Institutions.

The topic “Avenues in Quality Assurance for Pharmacy Students” was deliberated by Mr. M. Sathish Babu, Director-QA at Jubilant Generics Limited who shed his insights on the core aspects of Quality Assurance as a profession and a career. He emphasized upon the qualifications, skill sets, knowledge base and above all good communication skills required to make a career in QA. Later, he talked about QMS (Quality Management System.) and GLP, GCP, GpvP, GDP and GMP and their scope as well as their interpretation with the current guidelines of regulatory bodies. Lastly, he highlighted the advantages of QA as a profession and the significant roles and responsibilities a QA professional has in the Industry.

He successfully oriented the students pursuing B. Pharm and M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance towards the bright prospects this stream has in offer particularly in this era. He also discussed the various job opportunities and career Growth Prospects for entrants in this stream. Students took this opportunity to interact with the speaker at the end and discussed their queries for taking it up as a career. Overall, it was a career oriented webinar to guide the students.
