The Orientation Event Prarambh 2023 was organized on October 7, 2023 by Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology. The event commenced with a traditional Lamp Lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana, signifying the illumination of knowledge and the spirit of learning. Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi, Group Director of Lloyd Group of Institutions, delivered the welcome address. She extended a warm welcome to all attendees, including distinguished guests, faculty, and students. Our guest of honor, Dr. Jai Prakash, Senior Principal Scientific Officer at the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, shared valuable insights and words of wisdom. His address emphasized the importance of the pharmaceutical industry and its role in public health. Guest of honor Dr. Uma Bhandari, Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, delivered a speech highlighting the significance of pharmaceutical education and research. Her address motivated the students to strive for excellence in the field. Prof. Roop K. Khar, Director of B.S. Anangpuria Educational Institute, graced the event as the Chief Guest. He delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the role of education in building a strong foundation for the healthcare industry.

The event also celebrated the achievements of the faculty members. Several faculty members were recognized and awarded for their outstanding contributions to research.

The Lab Coat Ceremony was a symbolic event where students received lab coats, signifying the commencement of their practical training.

Aspiring pharmacists took the Pharmacist Oath, pledging their commitment to ethical and responsible pharmaceutical practice. This ceremony marked an essential step in their professional journey.

Outstanding students who achieved success in the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) were acknowledged and awarded for their hard work and dedication.

A thought-provoking panel discussion on the theme "Pharmacy Strengthening Health Systems" took place. Dr. Chitra Gupta, Professor & Dean PG at Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology, Greater Noida, moderated the discussion. The panelists shared their insights on how pharmacists play a vital role in enhancing healthcare systems.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to all participants, guests, faculty, and students by Dr. Shilpa Pahwa, Prof. & HOD, LIMT
