Orientation Program- 2022

Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology organized a four-day Orientation Program for the new entrants of the M. Pharm, B. Pharm. & D. Pharm. programs from 3rd October 2022. The objective of the Orientation program was to develop a gradual and confident understanding of the Pharmacy profession, its academic requirements, and related skills.

On the very first day, students were told to fill out the registration forms. This was followed by a campus tour, where the students visited classrooms, laboratories, a library, a computer center, a placements office, etc.  Day 1 of the orientation Program ended with an interactive session with the respective subject teachers who explained the subjects the students shall be studying in their respective courses.

Day 2 (6th October 2022), included a set of games for team bonding for the students to break out of their shells & make friends. These games were initiated by Ms. Priyanka Ganguly, Behavioral Coach. The students enjoyed the session thoroughly and it helped them to break the ice. The Career Guidance & Training and Placement Cell Head, Mr. Vivek Dhiyani gave a presentation on the placements records and the processes involved. The last session for the day concluded with the internal assessment and marking schemes for M. Pharm, B. Pharm, and D. Pharm programs by the Exam cell Head, Ms. Preeti Maan

On 7th October, the B. Pharm students were taken to the Yoga session to instill a passion in them for maintaining fitness. This was followed by human value sessions on Human Ethics by Dr. Alok Bhardwaj, Professor, and Aspirations & Family Expectations by Dr. Chitra Gupta, Professor in LIMT. The purpose was to help the student explore and experience the joy of learning, stand up to peer pressure, take decisions with courage, and create awareness about the relationship with colleagues and supporting staff in the Department. Post-lunch subject teachers took introductory classes.

On 18th October, the formal ceremony started with a Lamp-lightening ceremony by the students, their parents, Lloyd’s President- Mr. Manohar Thairani, and Group Director- Dr. Vandana Arora. Dr Vandana Arora in her address inducted the students with Lloyd’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values. This was followed by a Panel Discussion on “Industry Expectations on Young Pharma Professionals” in which the students actively participated in the Event. There was a lab coat and oath-taking ceremony. The oath served as an ethical compass for students over the course of their careers. Finally, the ceremony ended with a vote of thanks followed by refreshments for all students.
