INTRODUCTION

The Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology, Greater Noida proudly organized an International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2024, as part of the week-long Yoga Mahotsav Celebration. This event, held in the Yoga Studio on our campus, brought together students and faculty to participate in a day dedicated to the practice and principles of yoga. The theme for the day, "Find Your Balance On and Off the Mat," was chosen to emphasize the significance of achieving equilibrium in all aspects of life.

EVENT OVERVIEW

The Yoga Day event commenced at 9:00 AM with an opening ceremony. The ceremony included an introduction to the day's activities and a brief speech highlighting the importance of yoga in fostering physical and mental well-being. The event was graced by our esteemed yoga trainer, Mr. Abhishek Pachauri, whose expertise and guidance were instrumental in the success of the day.

PARTICIPATION AND ENGAGEMENT

Students and faculty members from various departments actively participated in the Yoga Day activities. The event saw a diverse group of participants, reflecting the widespread interest and commitment to promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle within our campus community. The total number of participants was approximately 216, including both students and faculty.

MORNING SESSION: YOGA PRACTICE

The morning session began with a traditional yoga practice led by Mr. Abhishek Pachauri. This session included:

1. Warm-Up Exercises: Pachauri guided participants through a series of gentle warm-up exercises to prepare their bodies for the yoga session. These exercises focused on enhancing flexibility and reducing the risk of injury.
