Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and respect for the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women in society. The event was organized at the Lloyd Campus on 9th March 2026 under the visionary leadership and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi, Group Director & Head of Growth, Lloyd Group of Institutions. The celebration aimed to acknowledge the strength, leadership, and achievements of women while promoting the values of equality, empowerment, and inspiration among faculty members and students.

The programme commenced with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing the removal of darkness and the spread of knowledge, wisdom, and positivity. Following the inauguration, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi addressed the gathering and shared her inspiring thoughts on women empowerment, leadership, and the importance of creating an inclusive environment where women can thrive and achieve their aspirations.
As part of the cultural segment, a stage act titled “The Unseen Barriers” was presented, reflecting the silent struggles and challenges women often face in society. The performance effectively conveyed the message of resilience and courage displayed by women in overcoming societal obstacles.
The celebration continued with an engaging quiz session titled “The Indomitable Spirit of Indian Women,” which highlighted the achievements and inspiring journeys of remarkable Indian women who have contributed significantly to society. The activity encouraged participation and awareness about women leaders and their accomplishments.
One of the major highlights of the event was the Panel Discussion on “Balancing Aspirations, Careers & Leadership: The Journey of Women.” The discussion was moderated by Ms. Saumya, Director – Career Services, and the panel included distinguished academicians:

The event also featured a segment titled “Expressions,” where faculty members presented creative literary performances. Dr. Syed Salman Ali presented a soulful ghazal, while Mr. Gagan, Dr. Vijay Parmar, and Mr. Harshit Kanchav recited poems celebrating the strength and spirit of women. These performances added a cultural and emotional dimension to the celebration.
To make the event more interactive and lively, collaborative games such as Straw & Paper Transfer, Tongue Twisters, and Memory Trail were conducted, encouraging teamwork and creating a joyful environment among participants.
