Health-A-Thon “Future Prospective for Healthier World”

Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology (Pharm.), Greater Noida successfully organized a two days mega Health Hackathon Event “Health-A-Thon [Future Prospective of Healthier World]” on 19th May-20th May 2023. The Theme of the Health-A-Thon event was Drug Administration, Early Diagnosis and Disease Cure & Treatment. 20+ Innovators Teams from various colleges like DPSRU, MIET Meerut and KIET Modinagar Ghaziabad etc. took part in this event and stayed overnight at the campus. 

The program commenced at 10.00 am for Day-1 (19th May 2023), following a warm-up Tea, with a grand inaugural chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi, Group Director and Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Growth at Lloyd Group of Institutions and eminent guests Mr. Kapil Agarwal, Manager Incubation Programs, Aspirelabs Accelerator and Dr. Rajiv Chhibber, Vice President, External Affairs (Policy, Govt. Relations and Outreach), Sahajanand Medical Technologies. The program began with auspicious lamp lightening by the dignitaries and Saraswati Vandana to evoke the blessings of the Goddess of learning.

Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and the delegates, on behalf of Lloyd Institute. In her welcome address she emphasized that in the last few years, the role of technology in healthcare has increased significantly. Today, we have access to easy-to-use and accessible medical devices, powered by technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, block chain, etc. These technologies enable patients and their caregivers to make decisions about the management and treatment of diseases. The Health-Tech Hackathon will foster a mindset among our youth towards these technological developments.

Mr. Kapil Agarwal, Manager Incubation Programs, Aspirelabs Accelerator in his address said Think bigger and create yours ideas to achieve you thought. He said that continuously work behind your goals to convert them into achievements.

Dr. Rajiv Chhibber, Vice President, External Affairs (Policy, Govt. Relations and Outreach), Sahajanand Medical Technologies in his address said that Hackathons are always an exciting space for collaboration, creativity and innovation. Health Hackathons are a great platform for medical field people with innovative ideas.

After Lunch, The innovators teams from different colleges pitched their ideas of Innovations for 5 minutes and these ideas were reviewed by our guest of eminence Mr. Kapil Agarwal and Dr. Rajiv Chhibber. The inputs given by the reviewers had been taken as great challenge by the participant teams and worked overnight to impose their ideas.

Dr. Syed Salman Ali, Event Coordinator and Associate Professor Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology gave the Concluding address of Day-1. He said that just as diamonds are formed under intense pressure, many gems will coming out of this competition. And even more polishing, these gems will shine brightly in times to come. He also motivated the teams to develop their ideas on the basis of inputs given by reviewers.

After High Tea at 5:00 PM, The hacking has been declared open for overnight. All the participating teams were provided the computer labs and spaces to develop their ideas of innovation for overnight on the basis of reviewer’s comments. After late night work and Dinner, Accommodation were also provided by the Lloyd Group of Institution to all the participating 20+ Teams.

The second day event (20th MAY 2023) started at 10:00 AM with introduction and welcome of judges.

Dr. Neetu Kamra, Professor at Lloyd Business School (Analytics and HR), Prof. Dr. Manish Saraswat. Professor and Head Industry in campus (IIC), Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology and Mr. Abhinav K Mishra, Adjunct Professor, Lloyd Law College were our Judges.

The second day pitching was based on detailed and idea prototype presentation. Each team was evaluated on the basis of their idea feasibility, Novelty, Innovative, Patentability and business value.

Valedictory Session started at 1:00 PM with a grand welcome of eminent guest Mr. Apurv Abhay Modi, Managing Director and Co-Founder, Atechnos Group.

Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi, Group Director and Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Growth at Lloyd Group of Institutions extended a warm welcome to the Eminent Guest and the participants, on behalf of Lloyd Institute, in her welcome address.

Mr. Apurv Abhay Modi, Managing Director and Co-Founder, Atechnos Group.in his address said that confidence plays key role in an entrepreneur’s life. If you are confident about novelty and innovation in your ideas you will definitely achieve the goal. 

Winners of the event were declared on First Position Team Grain Revolution of KIET Group of Institutions and Team Insightutive Innovations of Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology received prize money of 10000 Rupees with Trophy each, on Second position Team Fikr-Not of DPSRU, Delhi received prize money of 7500 Rupees with Trophy and on Third Position Team Alok of MIET, Meerut received Prize money 5000 Rupees with Trophy.

Overall the event was grand success and was able to meet its objectives of igniting Youngers brains.
